The surprise star at Facebook’s f8 conference was Nicholas Felton, whom Facebook’s head product developer credited with inspiring the layout of the revamped Facebook. How’d that happen?!
This was the most impressive guy to me at F8 - Chris Cox Facebook’s VP of Product Management. I can’t find his speech from the conference online yet, but this badly filmed, hardly viewed, YouTube video shows what he and they were thinking a year ago (it was uploaded in November 2010). It’s why Timeline will be important. It’s the best way of describing what Facebook are planning in just over six minutes.
